Saturday, June 21st marks the 14th anniversary of Summer Sailstice, a global holiday celebrating sailing. In 2013, sailors participated by racing, cruising or daysailing from all 50 US states and over 40 countries sailing ‘together’, wherever they were in the world.
Williams & Heintz Map, publisher of the Virginia and Maryland Cruising Guides, is inviting all or our friends customers to sign up at http://www.summersailstice.com then sail by going racing, cruising or recreational sailing on the weekend of June 21st. The Summer Sailstice website allows you to post your sailing plans, publicize your fleet event, invite others or see what other sailors are doing in the area. Participants can host a cruising rendezvous, hold a race or sail however they like for the Sailstice holiday. There’s no better way to start the summer and no better weekend in the Northern Hemisphere to unite with sailors around the world.
By signing up for Summer Sailstice you become eligible can win prizes contributed by Footloose Sailing Charters, West Marine, Hobie, Offshore Sailing, WoodenBoat and many other marine favorites.
